26.48.00 - Weather Layout and Extended Forecast

Development version 26.48.00 reorganizes the dedicated Weather destination and adds extended National Weather Service forecasts for Professional and Enterprise subscribers.

Highlights

  • Active NWS alerts now appear above current conditions.
  • The Weather page now uses the Active NWS alerts card as its single alert area instead of repeating the Incident Overview banner. The card visibly identifies the alert count, highest severity, and last-known verification state while the overview banner remains available for immediate awareness.
  • Current conditions use the full card width so temperature, feels-like temperature, humidity, wind, and visibility are easier to scan together.
  • Weather Advisories remain below current conditions.
  • A new Extended forecast card provides a Forecast range menu with Hourly and 7 Day choices.
  • Hourly forecasts use a compact facility-local timeline showing 12 hours by default, an option to reveal all 24 cached hours, and on-demand condition and wind details for the selected hour. The seven-day view groups National Weather Service daytime and nighttime periods into daily cards with clearly labeled High and Low temperatures.
  • Forecast periods include projected temperature, condition, precipitation chance, and wind when supplied.
  • Selected-hour details also include forecast humidity, dew point, pressure in inHg and hPa, and visibility in miles when supplied by the National Weather Service forecast grid.
  • Forecast update and check times remain visible, and last-known forecast data is clearly identified when a refresh fails.
  • Forecasts remain advisory and cannot create an incident, select response guidance, activate the HIMT, change an operational period, or add incident activity.
